Joiner's Cottage

Enjoy the picturesque setting of Upper Slaughter one of the most beautiful villages in the Cotswolds. Joiner's Cottage sits within the grounds of a Grade II listed house built in the 1800, which is the family home of the owners and can be reached down a quiet access only road.

From the kitchen and living room windows you will see the Norman tower of the 12th Century Church of St Peter nestled at the top of the hill. A very short walk down the drive from the cottage you could, on a warm day, dangle your feet in the cool water of the River Eye, which quietly meanders through the village complimenting the honey coloured cottages nestling amongst the trees.

Gain access to this newly converted cottage via the driveway to Brookside, (where there are two allocated parking spaces for your cars). Walk up the little pathway through your own private garden; ideal for enjoying the sunshine through the summer months.

On entering the Cottage will be greeted with the entire home from home comforts (including a welcome package, packed with essentials like milk, tea, coffee, butter and bread, together with a basket of logs (or coal) to light that welcoming fire on a cold frosty day)– a large airy living room leads through to a kitchen and dining area which comprises dishwasher, washer-dryer, hob, fridge, a freezer and an area where you can sit and enjoy your meals. On the ground floor a large double bedroom with feather duvet and separate on-suite shower room. Rising up the stones steps you will be greeted with a beautifully decorated twin room and separate bathroom.

The cottage is available all year round and has oil fired central heating together with multi fuel burner in the sitting room, ideal for curling up in front of when you have had a hard day exploring the countryside. (A basket of logs or coal will be provided, further baskets will be charged at £3/basket).
